Re: Support for Emojis

I think having an extension to disable the emoji library for the few persons that want to do that is the actual solution to the problem you seem to have with EmojiOne, not having someone spending development time adding another rarely used setting.

Re: Support for Emojis

I think you're confused about what this emoji support added actually is. When you add an emoji to a post it is stored as a utf-8 mb4 character. The post_text column encoding was modified to accommodate this type of data (before this change it would actually throw an error in previous versions). Howe...

Re: Support for Emojis

Since it was brought up: is there still a plan to replace EmojiOne with something else or has there been some change in their licensing for what they provide through CDN?

Running PHP 7.2 here and not getting that. Maybe you need to delete the cache/production directory.

Re: [NEW THEME] 4. JS frameworks & approach

Isn’t VueJS a bit much for what we do in phpBB, same with AngularJS and React? They do a ton of things we won’t really ever do, specifically with the whole templating and component structure that is followed by them since we already have Twig. Also I think translations would be a tad difficult to wo...

Because we love redundancy? Just send a patch to remove the duplicated Load Settings section from Board Settings.

Re: Giving Warnings as a moderator (suggestions to make it less personal)

I'd be in favor of giving warnings and post disapprovals the same treatment we do for bans. The reason they're different, of course, is that a ban means the user can't check their PMs so it kind of has to be that way. Would need some default language to guide them towards the proper contact for disp...

Re: PHPBB3-10418 - WYSIWYG Editor/Rich Text Editor

No they’re just in the wrong place. 3.2 does not and will not have a WYSIWYG editor, certainly nothing discussed here would be usable. Should go to phpbb.com/community and search for existing extensions.
