Re: Javascript, discussed before?

Interesting statistics. The steady incline of firefox and safari users, (despite IE7 being released) is rather Sexy... 10% of people browse with Javascript disabled according to w3. I wonder if that accounts for things like Cellphones/PDA's and similar devices? And I wonder how many of those people ...

Re: Javascript, discussed before?

You know, I completly forgot about that little tag ;) . Why would this not be standard then? With a little bit of javascript, you could fairly easily display a message saying that javascript is disabled, instead of the bbcode buttons all together... Just have the buttons invisible, and have javascri...

Re: Javascript, discussed before?

as you need to have js activated to see font-colors, use bb-buttons and smilies, wouldn't it be nice if a message appears somewhere saying: "if you may be so kind as if to turn javascript on to be able to use any abilities that it offers" or something similar... Thats a very tough one. Its hard to ...

Re: 3 sites, one script.. is it possible?

Hmmm.... Almost a better Idea would be to make 3 catagories on the forum, one for each set of forums. If you really wanted to, you could use .htaccess files (if your server supports them) to rewrite /forums/index.php?f=## to /forums/support-teen so then if the user is to go to /forums/support-teen t...

Re: is there..?

That kind of sucks. That would be a very useful feature.

I would expect a mod to come out shortly after release for something as simple as that.

Re: New CAPTCHA

Its not too hard to read, but people with less than average vision would definatly have problems.

Plus thats still easy for a bot to decode. (example) Basically they take the ascii generator out of phpbb and modify it to decypher the generated ascii perfectly.

Re: Better Spambot Protection in phpBB3?

Really? Possibly I've not been detailed enough: it's difficult to explain to people not living in Italy. ;) Imagine this: Frase: 5, 7, 1, 7 Imagine how to obtain the correct phrase... if you are not Italian, and you do not know a bit of rebus ... :P Yea, I have no idea what the awnser would be. If ...

Re: Better Spambot Protection in phpBB3?

I am glad that one of the features will be to get all the users posts and delete at once in PHPBB 3 Oh my god! YES! *emotional breakdown* I think also that a trivial question even a unique question but custom to each board is a way to avoid spam (supposing the admin change that question every...
