Re: [RFC] Improved AntiSpam Countermeasures by default

Hello bonelifer,
I asked at the SFS (Registered Members Only) forum: Yes, BotScout used SFS data in a not allowed way. But they did it only for a short period. And then they stopped it till today. It's more than one year ago.

What's the problem here?

Do you have a source for your statement about the stolen data thing?

Re: [RFC] Improved AntiSpam Countermeasures by default

Hello, in this point there are three types of HTTP blacklists: free, no registration and key required for checking, but registration and key required for reporting new spam - e.g. Stop Forum Spam free, but registration and key required for checking, too - e.g. Project Honey Pot non-free, but they ar...

Re: "Official" integration with Akismet

Hello /a, the questions are: Is Akismet a serious service? Do there ToS allow the re-use of the user data? If users are trusting in a board founder or webmaster why they should not trust in a blacklist provider, too? One other point: You can check the messages with Akismet and not only ip, username ...

Re: [RFC] Language in the database

Hello, I can remember that the APboard (or tForum? ) have been doing it this way (about 9 years ago - in 2003 I moved to phpBB). Database or files? Files! Cache? Are you sure that language files are cached the way you told here (in Olympus). When I'm programming and testing my MODs and I'm uploading...

Re: Load default language before other languages?

Hello Nils,
I will send you a german language PM next time. I think here it's too much off-topic to talk about these things.

Re: Load default language before other languages?

Hello Nils,
I'm a MOD author and no co-developer. I don't advertise MODs. I advertise missing core features.
Perhaps MODs should been written like patches in future?

Re: [RFC] Improved AntiSpam Countermeasures by default

Hello Jonah, the new Advanced Block MOD 1.1.0 for Olympus offers the features you are requesting. The weight system is r...
