Re: Visual Confirmation

There could also be an option for an administrator's policy, such as I've seen on some blogs: Moderate every new registrants first post (or first several, a number chosen by administrator). Once it's been established their posts are not irrelevant, machine-generated posts, they are no longer modera...

Re: Suspecting beta release very very soon!

Yeah, I know I need patience, and so should everyone else. Let's give an example... Q: Why do you wait for the stoplight to turn green before you enter the intersection? A: You want to keep your car in good condition, avoid tickets, and get home alive. Likewise... Q: Why do you wait for phpBB3 to be...

Re: Suspecting beta release very very soon!

Until then, wait patiently. The world has no patience, nor does it understand that patience is necessary if you don't want to get completely "owned" in the end... patience in this situation will let us have a nice, quality product. And I must say, phpBB3 is looking like a [expression word here] goo...

Re: Permissions Module :D

Well, it is all in the name of flexibility.... yes I know you can easily set up an admin to be a moderator. I just realized the possible flexibility options you mentioned here... and when phpbb3 does come out... hehe I'm definately going to set up our board a little more securely. Most forums should...

Re: Permissions Module :D

That could be the one thing I love about the phpBB 2 versions.... anything with administrator level can automagically see anything. In version 3, without the permissions module (and understanding of the permissions tables with patience), you are doomed to the forum underworld of pain and suffering. ...

Permissions Module :D

It's so awesome that permissons finally works now, however I'm still stumped on one thing... I could be wrong, but why isn't the Administrators group assigned with Global Moderator permissions by default? I tried deleteing a post but I couldn't because I wasn't a moderator anywhere, despite being ad...

Re: Admin Panel

I am totally flabbergasted by the admin panel of phpbb3. I don't think I can explain how much I want the phpbb3 project to be out of development and in a stable release :D :D

Admin Panel

I just want to express how much I like phpbb3 and how good I think it is. The admin panel is awesome, but I really wish I could have tried the permissions module today. Apparently it is missing. But still, phpbb3 is awesome. I also like how attachments and etc are incorporated now. It's great. Yes, ...
