Re: Language specific options

Oh, is that all? :D Yes, you could just put them in the language common.php file as you said, but you’d want to do the site description as well: 'SITE_NAME'     => 'My Site name', 'SITE_DESC'     => 'My site description',   And then in includes/functions.php ... FIND       'SITENAME'                ...

Re: How to create login forphpbb3 on website

$_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] is vulnerable to XSS (Cross-site scripting).

phpBB does have it’s own $user->page array, so you could use $user->page['page_name']; But in the redirect param, you would use something like: append_sid($phpbb_root_path . $user->page['page_name'])

Re: Search System Discussion

Just the parsed text and everything prepared for outputting to the template. Perhaps unparsed text from the DB would even be better than the parsed text. The processing is not heavy for parsing the text such as BBCodes and Smileys, if you’re just trying to lighten the load on the Database Server. T...

Re: commit messages

What benefit would a project wide standard on commit messages have? :? I’m genuinely curious because to me, a commit message is nothing more than a very simple summary of the commit unless it was a security or bug fix, in which case it would simply be #xxxx If I want to find out what the code does, ...

I thought it was quite clear what he said: He completely revamped the posting api to be simpler so that there were no obvious deficiencies. The enhancement consisted of improved posting, topic insertion and deletion. Only that he didn't test the move capability yet. And that is all derived without r...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion

I already said the Milestone list does exist. Meik spoke (vaguely) about the Milestone list. It was just not public until those who were at Londonvasion got to see a sneak peek. We still cannot give any better answer to time questions, and it does not do any real good saying “Milestone 1 is done, wo...

Hint: Watch some of the Londonvasion videos recently posted. You will see that phpBB already does this (behind the scenes of course. ;) )
