do we show anything for offline or nothing
Probably the better option is to show nothing. If you just show an empty circle there will be 1,001 support requests on how to remove it!

Re: [Redesign] User Online Banner

What is the suppose of this question? Do you suggest to remove the online image or don't spend time on a thing, you think nobody cares anyway? I believe that not having the online/offline image (or any other indicator) is an option that should be considered. To some extent it is meaningless as it d...

Re: [Redesign] User Online Banner

Personally I am not a great fan of "glowing" images - although they can look right in the right place. I would go for something simple, either a "traffic light" or just plain coloured text (green for online, red for offline) At the end of the day does anybody really take much notice of the online/of...

Re: New Admin Style for phpBB 3.3?

What I am saying is - "Why invent the wheel twice?" If we are intent on changing the "framework" for styles then let's try and make life easier for extension developers. Currently there is one "framework" (using the term very loosely) for front facing templates and another for ACP templates Case in ...

Re: New Admin Style for phpBB 3.3?

I don't think it was ever intended for style authors to have to worry about styling the ACP, which can add a whole layer of complexity to an already complex style on the user side since there are tabs, sub-tabs, side menus, etc. Just because it was not intended does not mean that it should not. If ...

Re: New Admin Style for phpBB 3.3?

Why does there have to be an Admin style that is different from the "front facing" style?

In my opinion the two should use the same framework/colour scheme - change colours on one and they follow through the to the other giving a unified feel/look.

Re: error suppression on constants.php

It must be a new syntax. No it has been around for years (since the start of PHP??) http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6643002/difference-between-define-and-define But that does not answer the question as to why it is used in that instance - what possible error could be generated from that define s...

Re: Design Inspiration

Thinking way ahead here - how easy/difficult will it be for extension developers to add additional ones for their extensions, or will it mean taking a step backwards from font awesome and having to create their own?

Re: [RFC][3.3.x] Supported PHP versions

I was not referring to individual boards but the total data collected from all boards which should centrally give an indication of the versions being used and the trend.

Re: [RFC][3.3.x] Supported PHP versions

Out of interest/curiosity - do the stats from phpBB installs show the version of PHP that is used, and if not would it be an idea to add them (if that is possible)
