If you're that desperate for a WYSIWYG editor, someone will MOD in FCKEditor from http://www.fckeditor.net" target="_blank Its fairly simple, and I've written my own CMS around it. Works on IE, FireFox and Netscape. Not searched the mod database yet, but someone might have already done it for 2.0.x...

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't phpBB only partially O-O? I seem to remember quite a bit of procedural code in the CVS. Again correct me if I'm wrong, but afaik, that means UML can't really be used. Well, no the class diagram parts of it anyway :mrgreen: When released I might go about mapping out...

I agree that at first glance the permissions system looks overwhelming. But then so did 2.0 when I first started using it. I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Presets will however be a godsend. I'd also welcome an ALLOW ALL button for Admins :mrgreen:

2.2 has made working with CMS a LOT easier already. The new php inclusion function in the styles is a godsend (I get bored of hacking page_header.php very quickly) FCK Editor takes the complex parts of the CMS away, and it doesn't take many lines of PHP to get a working CMS after that.
