Re: Moving to namespaces

This has been merged now. All tests are working and basic functionality was also confirmed to be working manually, but I imagine we'll uncover some left over issues soon. I'll update area51 in the next few days as well to test it more thorougly in areas we lack functional tests.

Re: [RFC] API

It does seem like most APIs of big services are switching to oauth for authentication. I think it's important to keep in mind what kind of uses the API will see. I can see it used by custom code by the owner of a site in which case something simple is nice. But I can also see it being used by mobile...

Re: State of Area51

We updated to latest develop today and there's a bit of a problem with the update process for soft delete, so we've increased the number of posts per page to 1000 so we can sitll read topics, even though pagination is unavailable.

[RFC] Reload notification info via ajax onclick and update current page

If you work with multiple tabs, the notification workflow will often result in an incorrect number of notifications reported. That's simply a result of only setting the value and list of notifications on loading the page. Without a mechanism like long polling or websockets which are difficult to imp...

Re: Dropping the tests/functional directory

For the record the original reason was that functional tests would cause parse errors on PHP <= 5.3 I believe, and at the time we still ran other tests on PHP 5.2. The PHPUnit group filter still includes all test files so that was not sufficient to prevent parse errors. Moving this to rejected anyway.
