Re: [Olympus] Has it failed already?

I know this release is going to be great and all But is it to little to late? In short, no. Let me expand on that below... What i mean is its nice to have a good open source BB System thats updated. But i think [Olympus] has kind of followed up much later than i thought it would have. If you put it...

Re: Suspecting beta release very very soon!

I'm going to quickly pop in here and offer you all a chance to cool down. If you wish to continue this bickering, you can take it to PM's, or set the user as a Foe and never have to see their posts again. However, this topic isn't a soapbox, so please don't treat it as one.

ESP? ;)

I'm not sure, it does rase a good question though. Anyone been to Romania or live there able to tell us?

Re: New CAPTCHA

I would be weary of using # and @, as some keyboard layouts have them under obscure key combinations that might not be obvious (e.g. (and to the best of my knowledge) a Canadian French keyboard requires you to press Alt Gr+2 to get @ (Note to those who've never heard of an 'Alt Gr' key, it doesn't a...

Re: version of this board

As is always noted, this board runs a mix of old code, CVS code, and code that is for testing only. The old code will eventually be updated to CVS copies when it is deemed stable enough, and the testing code will hit CVS assuming it also becomes stable (or just generally does as required).

If you make it case insensitive, you might as well make the captcha all caps for human redability, as then there's no ambiguity over things like "is that a lowercase j or a fancy i?"

Re: Suspecting beta release very very soon!

May you give us an indication where to look to understand what is the limitation "31" based on? It comes down to PHP's datatypes and the bitshifting that phpBB does. in bbcode.php: if ($this->bbcode_bitfield & (1 << $bbcode_id)) if $bbcode_id is 30, that line of code will return something ala: >php...

Re: Suspecting beta release very very soon!

Okay, so the limit is 31, not 20? And sorry for the questions, but... 1) Can the limit be used in the DB instead of the files? 2) If it can't be used in the DB, can the limit be raised in the file? The limit is indeed 31, but it is a limitation of the PHP language and the way BBCodes are used. We a...

Re: New CAPTCHA

http://eznetwork.org/captcha4.png I have more trouble reading this than any of the CAPTCHA's we've come up with so far. Including the ones that didn't work. The K looks like an L. The B can also be mistaken for a H. The P looks like a small capital D. Sure, it might be hard to crack with a computer...

Re: New CAPTCHA

The logic puzzle's flaw is how it tells the user which ones are the code. Green circle with a white number in it? Thats a pushover. There is nothing like that green in the image. Even with random colours it would take 30 seconds longer to code a workaround. If it didn't tell the user which ones are...
