Re: Field widths via CSS

A blast form the past. I came up with what I consider a better version for fixing/improving the dynamic topic name with static width posts, topics, views, posted by width issue feilds. dd.posts, dd.topics, dd.views { /* width: 8%; */ Removed width: 70px; */ Added text-align: center; line-height: 2.2...

Re: Field widths via CSS

DoubleJ, I think I have a possible working solution, Below is the code for the modified elements in the CSS. I am running into one problem that you, or someone reading this might be able to help me out with. Right now when it comes to the wrapping of the text, the elements (dd.posts, dd.topics, dd.v...

Re: Bug is less,

I think this quote from one of my favorite movies best sums up this thread. Right now I'd like to show you one of my favorite cartoons. It's a sad, depressing story about a pathetic coyote who spends every waking moment of his life in the futile pursuit of a sadistic roadrunner who *mocks* him and *...

It’s a matter or presentation, and depending on the density of the text, you will always have some white space, the question is where are you going to place it? I think that most people try to balance a web page, spreading the information as equally as possible across the entire page. So either peop...

Field widths via CSS

I am running into a little problem with setting some the field widths via CSS. In my opinion, the Topics, Posts, Last Post on the forum view should have static widths, and the user information on the thread view should also have a static width. I guess when the template was original designed they op...

Re: phpBB2 -> phpBB3 Upgrade Script Discussion

Are both phpbb in the same database? If not then the forum migration will not work. I seem to be having some problems testing the update script on the latest CVS.... phpBB3-CVS_2007-04-14.tar.gz So, I've got the vanilla phpBB3 working fine, so when I try converting the old install, I keep getting th...

Re: Bug is less,

I this 1 April would be the best day all year to release it. Why? Simple if it ends up a piece of crap, they can say "April Fools, It wasn't ready." :mrgreen: If it is the best thing sense the invention of the wheel and everyone loves it, they can say "April Fools, We will do better t...
