I'd pay if the license was for unlimited sites. I.e. the license attached to me, and I could set up as many sites as I wanted.
If the license was per site, I would go and seek out other open source.

Re: Olympus. A BB-CMS?
The conceptual ideas used to write a piece of software do not make it a CMS. What you are noticing in phpBB, are the realisation of OOP programming techniques instead of straight procedural/modular/spaghetti programming methods. See: Programming Paradigms at wikipedia and Object-Orientated Programm...

Re: Olympus. A BB-CMS?
The actual problem is not if phpBB a forum or CMS, but that it is written as a one big piece of code. PHPBB's actually surprisingly modular. I'm writing a CMS now, based on the PHPBB 2 code. (In fact, ironically, while I'm using all the templating, user management and DBAL code, I won't be using th...

Am planning to sign up for RSS. I've done something like it before (customisable feeds where each member can create an arbitrary number of different feeds, with different contents and options), so I should be able to adapt the UI from that.
This is quite exciting! I hope I get it!

Re: Just some advice
With the Replies and Views being in an alt like this: alt="Replies: {Replies_num} | Views: {Views_num}" If people would post their ideas... we could get a lot less bloat in phpBB3.... I disagree - I think replies is very important and needs its own column. If there's a tech support board,...

He's quite correct. Yes, it will be weeks, months or years
It's just not an answer that you want to hear. Sadly, there's no way you'll get a better one any time soon.

Re: "Goto" isn't a word.
Technically, datum is the singular form of data. However, the usage of datum is very rare nowadays - but don't let that stop you using it ;) I use it quite a lot. Often in papers I'm writing which refer to statistics, I have to talk about a single datum at times. One of my pet nit-picks :) Amorya
