Search feature - Select forum
In the search feature, there is a possability to select which forum to search in. The way it is now, all forums is marked for us. On first thought it looks like a good idea.... But, lets say someone first think of just searching in one of the forums, but then change his mind to search in all of them...

Re: Customized register page for 2.0.10 / 2.2
No, that code won't work with 2.2 Thats OK, if I can use something similir. Do you know? It would be really nice if the dev team would think of this when they are writing the code, and maybe make the "external" code even more simple then the code above. One single include file would be pe...

Customized register page for 2.0.10 / 2.2
If I make a customized register page for the 2.0.10 which contain registration for the forum and "other things", will there be any problems upgrading to 2.2? What I'm planning to do is to minimize the use of mods. Therefore, I will make a external database with all other information that i...

Re: Desicion about final features? Which state of progress?
Thanks
So, if version 2.x.x has an almost perfect code (no need for full rewrite), we will never see v 3.0.0. 10 Years from now we may have reached 2.9.9z

For the dev team - How important is new features?
phpBB 2.0.x is not known to have the most features when compared to other large boards, but still people love it. This may be because it is quite fast, stable, safe and does NOT have a ton of features. In the 2.2 you will include a set of new features that people have asked for for a long time, incl...

Re: Desicion about final features? Which state of progress?
You did explain that very well Graham
Could you please explain the 2.x.0 and x.0.0 also?
The phpBB 2.2.0 has new features and different db, and classifies (like you said) for the 2.x.0, but what is the difference between this version and the 3.0.0?

Re: Too Complicated
I agree that the structure is too complicated. Actually, I had to look around a bit to realize that the signature was a sub-category under "Profile". I would have dropped the sub-categories, and rather have longer "main" categories. "Normal" users have enough problems w...

I haven't done that. Please read my first post.CLee wrote:If you ask that a mod be implemented in the core code, then it is a feature request.

Re: Will 2.2 include the signature control mod?
Ths wasn't a feature request, but OK, I understand that you don't work on including it (as my friend told me). ThanksWert wrote:Feature requests go in the tracker, not here. Search and you'll find it.

Re: Will 2.2 include the signature control mod?
No. phpBB does not use the code of any MOD. Functionality a MOD supplies may be ported, but the code will always be written by our own developers. That was what I ment  What is the functionality of the signature control MOD? Read about it here: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=16349...
