Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion

PHP4 was EOL'ed at the end of 2007, with even critical security fix support ending in August 2008, and PHP6 is due out sometime later this year. Those still on PHP4 really should upgrade.

Re: Recursive regular expression use - an easier way?

There are several solutions posted on this very board for spoiler BBCode, from the very simple (black on black text) to complex (hiding and unhiding the whole text block). If it can be done in HTML/CSS, it can probably be done in BBCode. Perhaps the issue here is a misunderstanding of the custom BBC...

Re: Bug is less,

I think that depends on where you are for your definition of "tonight." "Tonight" is just reaching me, and I think Meik is eight or nine hours ahead of me at something like 3:30am or 4:30am, meaning he should be asleep.

Re: A way to help stop spammers?

Even with anti-spam measures, I'm unlikely to ever go back to allowing new users to go straight in. There's a small chance that I may do this with a group for unverified users who are moderated on all posts until we're convinced they're not bots, but as long as I have an easy way to review (and dele...

Re: A different way of asking

It's been stated several times that support begins at RC1. If you want stability, please wait for the gold release.

Re: nofollow - a new feature request.

They had to call a cease on features for 3.0, and even cut some things from the list, moving them to 3.2, which is also locked for new requests. Once 3.2 is out, feature requests will probably be opened for 3.4.
