Re: Twig Function Semantic Naming

I disagree with making any of these changes to the way we currently name our custom twig functions, just for the purposes of search/find the code base. I mean, search for lang( within the styles directory and you'll find what you're looking for. As somebody who has been searching phpBB's codebase hu...

Re: Font awesome 5 in 3.3?

Font Awesome 5 seems a little more complicated now that they have paid subscription plans, require Unique Kit ID codes per website, and they count page views (10k per month).

Re: phpBB 3.3.0-b1 released

All of my personal and official phpBB extensions work in phpBB 3.3 without needing any changes. This will be true for most. As mentioned mainly those using invalid YML files circa phpBB 3.1 will be at risk. These are the only things I've been upgrading (and it's purely related to Travis-CI Unit Test...

Re: phpBB 3.3.0-b1 released

Are there any details anywhere of the changes (if any) in 3.3 that will/may affect extensions? Not yet, but nothing about 3.3 should affect extensions. Erm, well, extensions written the way we document them to be written. Here are the bullet points: PHP 7.1 is the minimum PHP version. In the rare c...

Re: Why script-tags are placed at the bottom of the page in Prosilver?

As long as jQuery is at the bottom I can't do what I want to do. That's why I'd like to see jQuery in the <head> in the next version of the Prosilver. Sure you can! I don't know what you want to do, but there shouldn't be a single thing that can't be done because of whether jQuery is at the top or ...

LOL!!!

I'm just glad this wasn't a topic about removing the PM system or turning it into an extension.

Re: Extensionalize phpBB

The very idea of this makes everything many orders of maginitude harder to maintain, as far as updates, compatibility, development, usability and language translations go. It makes releases more difficult to ship as we would be required to also manage/release multiple extensions with a phpBB release...

Re: Extensionalize phpBB

Seems like a good way to make a lot of work admins again. They would have to find, download, install and manage updates on a whole slew of features that have always been built into the core.

A big no vote from me.

Re: Has someone been updating Area51's board software?

Yeah all the forum icon status buttons are fuzzy...not sharp or retina at all. I've seen this mentioned elsewhere. They look like the original icons were scaled up 2x and saved that way...hence they are fuzzy even when rescaled back down to their original size vvia CSS. https://github.com/phpbb/phpb...
