Re: Support for Emojis

If anyone still considers making extension for emojis, EmojiOne is no longer a good choice. It has gone evil. No more free emojis from Emoji One. EmojiOne version 3.0 changed license. Now the only thing you get for free are PNG images. PNG images are bigger than vector images and don't scale, making...

Re: ICONS - How to handle SVG explained

hmm slight issue with the dropdown arrows... It is caused by this in buttons.css .caret i { vertical-align: top; } Adding .caret svg to it won't do much because <svg> element has vertical-align in style, so to customize vertical alignment of such icons you need to add !important: .caret i, .caret s...

Re: ICONS - How to handle SVG explained

I've improved script a lot since last post: - Images imported from fonts are now cropped by up to same amount that is displayed below baseline, so images no longer have extra spacing. Images that go below baseline will not have part of them cut out. - Component for searching icons is available: http...

Re: ICONS - How to handle SVG explained

Of course. When using FA it happens very often that icon needs custom alignment. Same will be with SVG. That is why framework doesn't assume anything and shows icons as is... with exception of colors and width/height values. It is a minor issue of old icons that are designed to be handled as fonts. ...

Re: ICONS - How to handle SVG explained

It doesn't handle it. That's a problem of web fonts, not issue with images. Images are inserted inline, how they are displayed is completely up to designer. Framework does not insert opinionated stylesheet. SVG images can be changed just like any other image. If image needs to be shown below baselin...

Re: ICONS - How to handle SVG explained

Thing about SVG sprites is they don't work with all browsers, entire sprite needs to be inserted into DOM, so icons aren't cached and sprite building process isn't user friendly. There are more downsides to using sprites than upsides. But I've got a solution :) [shameless plug start] I've been worki...

Re: phpBB 3.2.0-RC1 prosilver template with funny repeats

Strange. There is no inline background-image style, so it shouldn't be happening. Also content.css is downloaded before colours.css and way before background images are loaded, so background-repeat rule should be applied faster than background-image. Can you test loading timeline on your forum? Chec...

Re: Here is what I think

WP is very user friendly, that's without a doubt. Managing plugins and themes from control panel is very convenient. But its also has hundred of not thousand times more interest from developers and users. Forum is a niche software. Every website has some pages, which can be served by WP or other CMS...

Re: phpBB 3.2.0-b2 released

Thanks, is this folder destined not to be changed by any extension or so on? To last forever as it is? Its basically a main parent style, parent of any installed style. That particular template doesn't depend on any other parts of style, placing it in "all" directory makes it usable for any style. ...

Re: 3.2 style inheritance

List of changes isn't really needed. Get old version, get new version, compare directories with diff tool like FileMerge or WinMerge.
