So.... Since I am not getting an answer I guess that if I don't at least attempt a manual install (on a product that is supposed to make all further mods automatic instead of manual) then no one will talk to me?

No. If i had wanted to do it manually I would have read the FAQs and readmes and install guide sections that had to do with doing it yourself.
