Re: phpBB3 Beta 5 Discussion!

I'm just curious if the CVS has already provided a lot of the bug fixing for the upgrade script, will there be a lot of bugs left to fix? And if not, will we perhaps be able to expect a sooner release of RC1 than the time period of releases between beta 4 and beta 5 That all depends on how good you...

Re: phpBB3 Beta 5 Discussion!

Question: the devs had said that they most probably wouldn't provide an upgrade path before RC1, but now there is an upgrade path from beta4 to beta5, so does this mean that another one will follow from beta5 to RC1? Likely, but devs can still change their mind and, what's worse, change database sc...

Re: phpBB3 Beta 5 Discussion!

What theyre saying is you can convert your forum, but leave the phpBB2.x forum installed and just look at how the conversion worked, and refer some of your members over to the Beta 5 site. do NOT replace your 2.x forum with the Beta 5 installation

Re: phpBB3 Beta 5 Discussion!

As theyve said in the past, i think its all at your own risk and while they might offer an upgrade script, they will not offer any support or "pleaaaassee help me upgrade or ill lose all my post" complaints... But I think if theres a beta4-5 script, then theres probably going to be a 5-RC1

Re: Bug is less,

Awesome! only 14 bugs left :) Wow, great job guys!! I know that the devs have said there will be a Beta5, but do you think there's any chance of going directly to RC1? I mean, the bug count has gone down and stayed down for a significant amount over the past couple of days... And since the upgrade s...

Re: Bug is less,

Current statistics: 12 not reviewed, 1 reviewed, 2 to be reviewed later, 6 awaiting information, and 6 are currently being fixed (5 of those by Acyd Burn). That gives us 27 open bugs. With 6 of them being fixed, it's soon going to be 21 (assuming no new bugs). Conclusion: bug is getting less. I'm g...
