Re: Again about Attachments Management
I think the thought was that group-based permissions would be a better solution. This is not the point: with this method (if I understand correctly) you may give permission to upload, or not give it. Only certain groups may upload, some other no. Often you need to garantee a full permission, (high ...

Again about Attachments Management
Recently we decided to open our Board where also registred users may upload an attachment. My question is, why attachment management is only made in a generic way, and cannot be limited according to the rank of the User? I mean, an Admin, may have no limitation (for example). A common Registered Use...

Re: Forum Permissions - I just cant comprehend!!!
[...] Here i have to admit i intend to add an indicator for the first case to let the admin know which case is true (no permissions assigned/all set to NO or individual permissions assigned). I would suggest to Acyd , and all people which are inside the development, to make really something for the...

Re: URL BBcode
[...] I still believe that a "Target" to supplement the "URL" would be very useful. ;) I think the same! But I also think that possibly one can define a Customer BBCode with a Target working in this way: If the target is defined, well: use it If the target is NOT reported, Ok, p...

Re: Troubles with RC4 release?
[...] I had a similar issue but I had couple of MODs running on the board and somehow messed up the session starting bit. But once I uploaded clean set of files, the problem was gone. I have a suspicion. :P Possibly the initial release had a corrupted file inside. If they understood this, probably ...

Re: Troubles with RC4 release?
I cannot uderstand (my fault, of course) this type of answer from the developers. In the ticket http://www.phpbb.com:80/bugs/phpbb3/ticket.php?ticket_id=13939 the replay is Support Request . What is the meaning of this? In the Support forum I have seen many requests with this problem, and no technic...

Re: Troubles with RC4 release?
I've done, but I have the suspicion to be returned with a support request by the developers. I'm thinking that also from the install I had troubles: uploaded the Changed Files Only archive for RC4 upgrade, and pointing the browser to mysite/install I could not see any method (button, or link)...

Troubles with RC4 release?
I have had problems upgrading to RC4, and un the support forum is all a woa and despair: all peole get a blank page after the upgrade, in a way, or another. I used the Changed Files Only formula upgrading from RC2 to RC4 (I lost the RC3 phase  ). Now I discovered that using an index.php file f...

Simulating User's surfing
After th RC1 I find some lack in what I remember: possibly the prosilver style may be a problem, but possibly something changed: I remember a feature (in previous Betas) where the Admin had the possibility to browse what a User had access to. Very useful, to be sure of permissions set. Is this featu...
