Re: CSS sprites to improve network performance

CSS sprites is good - and it isn't hard at all. The only concern is about customizing. E.g. CKEditor has CSS-sprites, but they are from major version to another incompatible, and it is quite hard to make your own (well, if you are a good designer probably not, but we all now not only good webdesigne...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion

I absolutely dislike the idea and behavior of OpenID. Well, perhaps somebody out there is using it (never actually met one that is using it) so you can include optionally the support. But please only optionally. Just my two cents.

The Community Coding Project seems to be interesting.

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion

Hello! I don't know if it was posted. I have a feature suggestion: The use of Drag&Drog, especially in forum, user, (perhaps more?) management. We have built in this feature (of course a GPL2 one, and also optional) in our CMS, and people like it. It was realized with the Yahoo UI library. You don't...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion

@ChrisRLG: Then the best would be "standard" permission system and a "extended" permission system. Because even more permission are for non-technical users not all the way phpBB3 should get. :-) Best is as simple as possible, but when the extended permissions are wished, then there should be two dif...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion

Hi! About Quick Reply: Use the mod. And perhaps (hasn't Highway developed it?) make it such easy for 3.2: Download -> Go ACP -> Automatic Install the mod uploaded from your PC (at least the CMS I work with handles Mods that easy). But when developers have decieded, there And with other mods too of c...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion

- Changing language / template files (not cache files) and installing mods without have to use FTP, or use a kind of built-in FTP like SMF (no, phpBB3 is much better than that) if security isn't allowing that. - Don't make it too complicate should be priority, not a feature overkill only geeks can h...

Latest CVS snapshot from today, first install page:
Note: This release is still not final. You may want to wait for the full final release before running it live.

8) The word "Beta" isn't mentioned anywhere anymore. :D

Re: Bug is less,

Oh my god, the world will implode in five minutes. I think the bug quantity says nothing at all about the time when the release of RC could be- there could be 100 (tiny) bugs, and it would be much better than 1 really severe one. So- to use the words of the game company Billzard- It's done when it's...
