the right procedure when RC1 is out (migration from phpBB2)

Hello all :) I am running a heavily modded phpBB2.22 forum. For testing purpuses I tried to do use the convert tab and migrate to Beta 5 ... but it "bugged". I just wanted to make sure I have the right procedure when RC1 is out. 1) I backup my phpBB2 database 2) I install a "fresh&quo...

A locked topic that you posted in. the • (dot) indicates you posted in that topic. Then of course, the padlock indicates the topic is locked. :) Since it's gray instead of orange, it means there are no new posts (i.e. no unread posts) Thanks for that answer as we say in France: "Je me couchera...

I'll add it to my phpBB3 MOD queue. (Can't port BB2 MODs to BB3)

You welcome, and as you see it would'nt really need a MOD on BB3 probably just a working BBCODE, but could'nt figure out what yet...

Re: What happens with the html in phpBB?

Wow... old topic. Well, unfortunately, there is no "default" option that you can turn on or off in the ACP for your users... about the only way to do it would be to run a quick Query that would turn everyone's Flash to ON. You can also set the default options to have flash set to "ON...

Re: What happens with the html in phpBB?

I'm sorry. But when I said "embedded" I mean "visible on the page", not just a link using the built in flash bbcode. Any way to do this? With the flash BBCode, users have choice to show (or not) Flash animations in the posts. Have a look to your UCP . Intersting. In phpBB2 I hav...

Re: Add a user manually

Thanks for your answers you all. Yes I knew the mod on phpBB2, just thought it would be implemented in 3 since it is quite handy for admins. But oh well, I 'll wait for MOD to be authorized although this time I sweared to myself to go easy on modding the forum ;)
