Microformats, or some other semantic mark-up

Hi, I use phpbb on my webs, and I need Google to understand every part of it, including the forums. Is it possible for the new versions to include some kind of semantic mark-up, like microformats, or the kind included on http://schema.org/ ? Thanks, and sorry if this has already been discussed, I ha...

Re: A Couple of things I would like to see if phpbb4

Please try to be more open-minded or phpbb4 will be too similar on its features to phpbb3. And I must tell you that users don't mind if the entire code has been revamped and rewritten from scratch or not, they only care about new features. If a new modular approach has been taken that makes phpbb4 t...

Re: A Couple of things I would like to see if phpbb4

I think we're not doing it right. Instead about discussing several random features to be implemented, maybe we should first ask ourselves: What is phpbb3 being used for? And much more important than this: What is phpbb3 NOT being used for? Why? For example. Phpbb3 is NOT being used to discuss very c...

Re: A Couple of things I would like to see if phpbb4

"When I have written a 200- lines post and I hit submit, I shouldn't loose all my work due to some connection issue ..." - Hit the back butotn, the post is there - Although such a feature woul dbe nice and I have considered implementing one for my board, but the users have said a) in a year they ha...

Re: A Couple of things I would like to see if phpbb4

I agree, every process should be on one same screen. When approving a topic or message, the same thing happens. First, knowing that a message needs to be approved, is not easy for any moderator is the forum is big enough (my forum is not easy to moderate). Once you enter the moderator panel, you nee...

Re: A Couple of things I would like to see if phpbb4

I've had several hacking incidents on my forums, that usually modify my index.php file or config.php file. These files should be better protected.

Re: A Couple of things I would like to see if phpbb4

I have translated several MODs into spanish, and find it is not easy to spot where the text to be translated is. Sometimes is on a "es.xml" file, sometimes into the install.xml, sometimes I have to find the /root/language/es/xxx.php file, and finally sometimes I have to find some random files that h...

Re: A Couple of things I would like to see if phpbb4

The moderation panel right now is unusable, I try to explain my forum moderators (some only dedicate a few hours a week to moderate and are not computer savy) how to move, merge and split threads but they just won't do it, it's too hard to do. It should be as easy as dragging a topic or post to some...

Re: phpBB3 estimate..

I like how this version looks. However I have always found that it is a bad idea to install version 1 of any software on a live environment.
