Re: Whois FuntKlakow

And verify that you have visual confirmation enabled. (unfortunately, I haven't found that setting yet) I also noticed that I had a new Style called FI Black. I am certain I didn't install it. I deleted it. To get to the Visual Confirmation setting goto your admin panel and on the left hand side fi...

Re: Whois FuntKlakow

I did a little research by going to google and searching for this name. After a quick look through roughly ten of the top listings with his name in a phpbb profile i noticed that NONE of those sites have VC enabled. I have a relatively small forum (which still has hundreds/thousands of pages in goog...

Why delete him?? He'll just come back again and re-register.
Rather than just deleting him over and over again, instead disallow the use of that name. You cant ban his ip if he doesnt post and it seems to me that on most forums he's registered he hasnt posted.

Re: Whois FuntKlakow

The main thing i'm wondering is whether or not any of you who have had this person register at your forum have visual confirmation running? This seems to be a bot that is registering, but if that is the case how is he bypassing the visual confirmation? BTW I have VC enabled on my forum and havent ha...

Re: I Miss phpBB.com!

Not trying to start a flame war here, but the fact that phpbb has been down so long doesnt surprise me a bit. Its yet another thing that the phpbb developers "promised" to be done in x amount of days/hours only to wind up taking three times as long. I love phpbb btw so please dont take thi...

Re: And so it begins (phpbb.com migration)

What is taking so long? I could swear they said it was going to be 24 hours, but it seems to have been three days now...maybe more.

Re: Can't wait!

I absolutely love how all of you are complaining about my speculating when you are all doing the exact same thing. For the longest time i've read post after post about how the devs make "nothing" from this and it is total BS. I doubt the clickthrough rate is anything near 1%. 0.01%, maybe....

Re: Can't wait!

True, google ads can vary widely. I've found them to be worth $0.15-0.60 a click. How do you come up with 15-70 dollars a day max? If you do the math its much much much much much much higher than that. Lets assume their click through rate is 1% and lets assume their page views are only 10 million a ...
