Fortunately phpbb is now able to do this without making changes to the php code.
Imho this is a big advance compared to version 2.0.x
I would prefer a switch in the acp anyway.

i think the features of the current snapshots are good. the only thing i miss is an ip logger. i think this is important to check if users have more than 1 account. in my old phpbb2 i use the ip logger mod from twing. its a little bit chnaged so that you can see if a user haver chnaged his username ...
