ChALkeR: have you considered using one of the AJAX php servers? Such as phpfreechat, Chategory, or Chatr? It seems it would be much easier working off an already working system and just implementing the user logon part. Hm. About AJAX, I used xajax... And to the chat code, I've already made it work...
