Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion

I would like to be able to mod the board by clicking on "Moderator Control Panel" directly instead of moving to the forum and then click on "Moderator Control Panel".

And is it possible to disable the TEAM display? I've searched for a switch but couldn't find it.

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion

Tanks for the tip paulus. What I would like is a options where admins can force ppl to search the forums first before starting a new topic or perhaps even posting something. Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion

prosilver can easily be edited to have the profile info on the left. It takes like 3 edits to the css files. There is a tutorial for it somewhere on phpbb.com, perhaps in the KB. I know, it was the first thing I did after installing phpBB 3.0, but it causes other issues with MODs Edititing CSS file...

Re: phpBB 3.2 Discussion

Topic and Post Rating system I agree with you on the Topic and Post Rating system. There are currently several mods being developed for 3.0, these are the ones I know of: Ratings for topics by TheUniqueTiger Topic evaluation Mod by Novan (I don't know if you're one and the same.) Karma Mod by m157y...

Re: Code is sometimes mod unfriendly

My guess is that the developers had other things on there mind and juist didn't think of this. It a detail and the software turned out great.

If there were no one who made modification then this wouldn't be an issue at all. From a developers point of view: they could always change the code.

Code is sometimes mod unfriendly

I didn't know quite where to place this. I though the bug tracker might be the right place, but then this isn't a bug. I found that block variables are sometimes assigned like this: $template->assign_block_vars('topicrow', array(...)); And other times like this: $arr = array(...); $template->assign_...

Creating templates and mods for 3.0

phpbb 3.0 is still RC, but I was wondering what's the advise on creating a template and mods. I am the admin of a dutch forum and we like to have our own look. With RC4 I tried to create my own (new) template, but at the time it seemed that the software was not ready for it. I also have an idea for ...
