Re: users are delaying release date by asking questions
Another point if you haven't even downloaded the snapshots why are you so keen to have Olympus? Well for me the reason why Im so keen for news is that plans need to be made with regards to my own clan site which is being revamped for the upcoming game aoe3. Its just useful to know what kind of time...

Re: users are delaying release date by asking questions
As for "5 minutes for a little update"... that may very well be true if you're still at school doing nothing more taxing than A-Levels. Even a half reasonable reply to something like this takes the best part of 30 minutes between things which in totality may mean 2 or 3 hours. Sound unlikely? Come ...

Re: users are delaying release date by asking questions
Our fustration is not with the amount of time, rather the development team's apparent refusal to communicate with the community about the status of the project.Lots of us are frustrated over the amount of time it's taken to get Olympus out.

Re: users are delaying release date by asking questions
I agree 100% with you. Even a fortnightly status report would go a long way in stopping the fustration in this forum. Is it really asking too much for a single dev to take 10 minutes of time saying what progress has been made every week or two? I couldn't give a fig about release dates, but not know...

Attachments Code Question
I've been busy porting a mod involving attachments over to Olympus (yes I know the code may well change, but the mod involves very little core hacking and lots of external code) and I noticed that the attachment system (in functions_display.php) does not use the template class. Instead it simply fre...

Re: Can't wait!
So if your boss is making 30K/month from your work (which you do for next to free), How is that relavent? phpBB isn't our work. phpBB is one of the few open source projects where users are not allowed to submit patches, to the best of my knowledge it is coded entirely by the dev team, to whom (if I...

Re: Can't wait!
At the end of the day does it really matter? Even if a $gazillion was made everyday, phpBB would still be open source. but I sadly I think it is the developers that are not getting everything they deserve What the project leaders decide to do with advertisement money is up to themselves. If they wis...

Beta to RC Upgrade Path
I'm a little confused on this issue; will there be an upgrade path from (a clean install of) phpBB3 beta to rc1?
