Re: Minimalistic Bot Style

Based on my experience, search engines will penalise you for having dublicate content, the "lowfi" version you're suggesting is considered as dublicate content and might actually work against you in terms of SEO.

Of course this is just my opinion! ;)

Re: seo

Having read this discussion and posted previously, I can add a little insight from my experience working with SEO in the past 3 years. Having "human readable" urls allows you to include valuable keywords for search engines to swallow. This combined with your site's content will add to the ...

Re: subBlue is changing!

NeoThermic, I never stated Tom gave me access to the new style or the fact that he's restricting it from the phpBB team. All I said is I've been "briefed" about what I have sent to him with regards to the new style. It has been settled now and I will continue to block said materials from m...

Re: subBlue is changing!

The admin panel is independent from the board style. We might change it to bring it a bit closer to the default board style, but there will be one and one only ACP style (actually those who know what they are doing could change it very easily if they really have a need to by replacing a single file...

Re: subBlue is changing!

I have a feeling the admin panel will ship with the two official styles provided by phpBB ;)

Dont ask me why, I just know this and Tom is the only person who can confirm it!

Re: subBlue is changing!

You are not right. The new "secret" style will be completely different in terms of HTML elements/tags as it will be tableless. Um.. and you think the new Admin Control Panel using the updated subSilver CSS is not tableless? Why else do you think its changing? You better check the source :...

Re: Okay I give up...

... Why do the table collums have a prefix in them when you select? $sql = 'SELECT t.table_thingy t.table_thingy t.table_thingy t.table_thingy t.table_thingy t.table_thingy' etc. What's with the t. ? I just don't get it. From my understanding, its to prepare the query when working on multiple table...

Re: subBlue is changing!

It makes perfect sense why Tom is changing the existing subSilver. He's trying to make it more compatible with phpbb3's source and the new "secret" style. Logically, if you have two (or more) styles, they are bound to work on the same set of HTML elements/tags. So they're not that much dif...

Re: I am taking the code.

Well, you're currently just hot air, unless you'd like to substantiate what you're saying with some evidence? I have a question, then. You don't believe me. But, you believe the admins when they say a new style is underfoot. You have no proof. You have even no hints. . . Wait a week, then my hotair...

For some reason I think dark, but it is probably going to be light
From what I could guess from Paul's blog, it is light.
OR it could be neither dark or light, its in between ;)
