It makes sense that it may be fixed before RC1. Knowing the complete contents of a post is helpful as a moderator, especially if someone tries to attach somthing against the rules (like pornography in a family oriented forum)

Re: Captcha Suggestion

To add to my previous post, there is a web tool that I just found that lets you see different color schemes as various color blinded poeple would see: http://www.wellstyled.com/tools/colorscheme2/index-en.html If you stuck with one of their suggested color schemes. If you do choose this idea, choose...

Re: Captcha Suggestion

From a medical point of view, this could be done if you were selective about the different colors that were used. The most common form of color blindess is red-green (X-linked, affects males in much higher frequency than females). There are some colors that can be used that would be pretty safe to u...

Bug reporting question

I have a question about how the phpBB team handles bug reports. If a developer makes a fix on a bug report (lets say it was a language fix), marks the report as fixed in CVS, and you think that the problem wasn't fixed (lets say it introduced a grammatical error), do you post a comment to the origin...

Re: How to join the development team?

Unless I'm missing something, three of the four recent additions had mods before they became developers. Kellenved had his "Invitation only" mod release announcement on April 19, 2005. Vic D'Elfant had his "Clean phpBB SQL Tables" mod release announcement on May 28th, 2005 and his "SQL Backup" in Ja...

Re: How to join the development team?

I think it's more of a "don't call us, we'll call you" thing... I think this is the closest answer. AFAIK, every member of the dev team has been invited. I agree, I was just giving some ideas on how to better one's chances of being selected. The recent additions to the dev team were all mod authors...

Re: How to join the development team?

None of us can speak for the phpBB team, but your best bet would probably get to know the code well, show that you know the code by developing mods (you can't submit Olympus mods until RC1 is released, but you could always get started now). Also, helping out in the support forums couldn't hurt eithe...

Haha, I'm not going to. The sad thing is, I read that a while ago and clicked the link to the bug tracker...such is life during final exams.
