ive seen the devs state MANY times that mods like smartor album ETC , will not be included into olypus because its a FORUM software, so dont expect ,calendars, albums etc. Anyways... its a lot better option to bridge coppermine galery with phpbb ( olympus will be bridged easy too i think ;-) ) than ...

not everyone can set php settings in htaccess, for me it gives 500 error

i cant wait to see it when it comes out :] this will be a great thing on shared enviroment hosting if the load will be reduced much.
i ahve to make a board optimised for a big amount of posts ( to graduade ) so ill take a look at your caching system and maybe it will give me some ideas for my work:]

you only need to look at the bottom of the page.However, the phpBB team has always resisted giving out data for how much space and bandwidth an installation uses, since it is subjective and depends on the size and popularity of the forum and therefore can give misleading data. hmm... i thought that speed and security was the main goal for phpbb3 so no developer wants to say how its compared to phpbb2.0.x ?

how much less server load will olympus utlise ?
im wondering how is olympus (current cvs ) compared to standard phpbb comapred in term of processor and memory usage ? and overal speed and database usage ?

there will be no other "easy" way to incorporate mods into forum ? why is that ? i wont have a problem myself with this but im just curious why it was decided not to include any automated mod inclusion system?
