DB2 is still around? Wow. I hope it's improved much in the last ten years.

Instead of spending more time on rebuilding 2.0.x... why not just put that time into phpbb3 and get it out to replace 2.0.x? Sounds like 3 has a bunch more security built in already.

Those of you saying the devs have obligations should promptly stop using phpbb and demand a refund of all the money you paid for phpbb.

If you want a version number to display, it would/will be very easy to add that text anywhere you like.

I could make my phpbb2.0.11 board claim to be phpbb3.1.77 if I liked.

The developers give this product away for free. The LEAST we can do is respect their wishes on the development forums.

With two of the other popular forum softwares changing to no longer be free, PHPBB's popularity is going to rise.
