Instead of spending more time on rebuilding 2.0.x... why not just put that time into phpbb3 and get it out to replace 2.0.x? Sounds like 3 has a bunch more security built in already.

If you are upgrading an existing forum that you care about, I suggest waiting for at least the Release Candidates. If you use the Beta and a serious bug is found, you run the risk of a messed up database or possibily being unable to upgrade from the beta to the released version. Consider that the fi...

I can't believe how much whining I see on these forums everytime I visit. Everyone, every last one of us, is looking foward to the release of phpbb2.2. Disappointed in how long it's taking? If you want a version number to display, it would/will be very easy to add that text anywhere you like.
