Re: alpha/beta

Ermm, when software is in development it is in Alpha stage, so phpBB 2.1.2/2.1.3/2.2.0 is in Alpha stage.

Re: When can I start, and how far is M3?

I share stuff, I have maked a few php scripts I have shared. But this is different. If I release the source code of this MOD I have a big change of competitors, and I don't want that. If this project fails (I don't hope that, but it's possible that it happens), then we (my brother and I) propable re...

Re: nice forum

A thats something that doen't work yet. There are a lot of things here that doesn't work. Thats not very surprising, because phpBB 2.2 is not even an Beta. The avatar upload problem: I have a workaround for it. Uploading an avatar from your own computer fails. But there is another way of uploading a...

Re: When can I start, and how far is M3?

No, I don't need subforums for my project. And I wait for phpBB 2.2. I have worked with other forums, but I just love phpBB. I'm also a big fan of open source, so if a project is not open source, then I try not to use it.

Re: When can I start, and how far is M3?

I don't think it can be separeded from the rest of phpBB. It is a very big project, and it is very integrated with phpBB. I don't start with 2.0.8, because there is a pretty big change that I have to start all over again when 2.2 comes out. I don't think I can use the upgrade script from 2.0.x to 2....

Re: When can I start, and how far is M3?

That's absolutely true. I rather wait a few months then that we got 15.000 bugfixes in the first few months phpBB 2.2 is released.

When can I start, and how far is M3?

Hello everybody, I have 2 questions: 1. I have a BIG project planned, and the base of that project is phpBB 2.2. It is a very big MOD I must build. My question is, when do you recommend me to start? I'm not asking for a date (because I got very angry mods then, and I don't want that), but I'm asking...

Re: photo album

LOL  @ Draegonis. I'm glad phpBB is just a forum. I'm a member of severall webdesign forums and they all use phpBB. I'm glad they don't have a photoalbum, or an calandar or something. If you have a website for your friends, then is a photoalbum a perfect thing, but the forums I meantiont ab...

Re: Why is it called php 2.2 and not 3.0?

ok, thank you for the very clear explanation. Obviosly I was wrong that I thougth that 2.2 is a complete rebuild :). And I'm familair with the linux kernel version numbering. 2.uneven is a beta, 2.even is an official release.
