I did and updating from 3.2.8 to 3.3.0-b1 was no problem.
Me too. FWIW, I'm testing it on a localhost testbed, using CentOS 7.7.1908 and PHP 7.2.25 from the remi-php repositories.

Re: phpBB 3.3.0-b1 released

Getting back on track to phpBB 3.3.0, has there been a roadmap published that would provide any further information on future betas and/or release candidates before the phpBB 3.3.0 gets released? To date my testing of updating from phpBB 3.2.8 to phpBB 3.3.0-b1 has been smooth once I figured out whi...

Re: phpBB 3.3.0-b1 released

If we did that then what would be the next step? Good question. Not knowing the design and internals of the phpBB ecosystem the only thing that I can suggest is perhaps a mechanism on the CDB page for the extension indicating non-compatibility with phpBB 3.3. I don't know where there is any mechani...

Re: phpBB 3.3.0-b1 released

would it be possible for the phpBB development team to automate a scan of those extensions that have been validated and released in the Customisation Database to re-validate if they will be compatible with phpBB 3.3 based on their .yml files syntax? Two points there: 1. An automatic update of an ex...

Re: phpBB 3.3.0-b1 released

Thanks Matt I don't think that I have many, if any, issues with my extensions. unless you still are not quoting strings in your .yml files That will be the one that will catch the users out and break boards. It might be an idea to recommend (yes I know that most will not take notice) that all exten...

Re: phpBB 3.3.0-b1 released

Is the update procedure from phpBB 3.2.x the same as previous? i.e. Knowledge Base - Updating 3.2.x On my localhost testbed I've followed that update procedure and have successfully updated to 3.3.0-b1. I've found one extension, Individual posts per page isn't compatible (not unexpected) ext/elsens...

Re: phpBB 3.2.5-RC1 released

Downloaded full package. Previous board version is 3.2.4 (on PHP 7.0.32 (CentOS 7.x).

Followed Knowledge Base - Updating 3.2.x and sanity tested post install. So far so good.
