Re: Do We Still Need Auto Update?

Everyone makes some great points, however I'm split on this. I'm in favor of removing the auto update package, but would ask to please keep the patch files option - they save me a boatload of time. :)

Re: PHPBB3-14323 / PHPBB3-14332 - Link shortening

All of it could be implemented as an extension. This! While I have no doubt that shortening URLs has it's benefits, it also has drawbacks - the worst being you quote a post with a link like http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop...56 and it turns out exactly like that (obviously I made up the URL)....

There's also a problem with "Mark topics read" (not sure if this needs reported to the tracker or not).

Re: [Define New Theme] 8. Utilize Font Awesome icons where icons are needed to simplify server requests.

If it was me, first - I'm female, but that's beside the point. Second, I was specifically talking about...

Re: [Define New Theme] 8. Utilize Font Awesome icons where icons are needed to simplify server requests.

Is it really necessary to have the "home" icon appear twice in the breadcrumbs? It just looks cheap. Looking at the code, we could easily change <span class="crumb" {$MICRODATA}><a href="{U_INDEX}" accesskey="h" data-navbar-reference="index"><i class="icon fa-home fa-fw"></i><span>{L_INDEX}</span></...

Re: Location of navbar events
