Re: A Feature I Would Love to See: Global Setting of Default Notify

Maybe even..... a checkbox on the registration page. On by default and the user can opt out if he unchecks it.

A Feature I Would Love to See: Global Setting of Default Notify

In my opinion, it's very important for the " Notify me upon replies by default " to be set to " Yes " ...by default... system wide. ( Each user can set it manually, of course.... at: User Control Panel --> Board Preferences --> Edit Posting Defaults --> Notify me upon replies by ...

Re: Email to Moderators on Arrival of New Messages in the Queue

That's not the point, and that's not the question. The vast majority of pbpBB installations need this feature. The vast majority of installations are low-volume boards, and they need this feature. Moderators should have the option of receiving alerts via email to inform them that there are messages ...

Re: Email to Moderators on Arrival of New Messages in the Queue

In this topic thread, we are talking about an OPTION for MODERATORS to receive email notices on messages waiting in the Moderation Queue..... IF they want them. ( This has nothing to do with users receiving emails. And if users turn off email notification, fine. Nothing wrong with that.... as long a...

Re: Email to Moderators on Arrival of New Messages in the Queue

I have no clue what that even means.

Re: Registering for This Forum Itself

Ha ha. I should have known... the logic a geek would use to solve that question. That's funny. :)

I didn't really think of the idea of improving the clarity of the question. I just thought that coming up with new better questions would be easier. But either way... whatever works.

Re: Registering for This Forum Itself

In any case, I'm telling you... I have been in IT for 33 years... and I had trouble with the anti-spambot question here. I have a very hard time believing that I am the only one... ( though I don't doubt that I am the only one who's taken the time to mention it ). Apparently, however, no one is inte...

Re: Registering for This Forum Itself

And thus we're back to one of my original questions...

"Is this intended to be an elitist forum or something?"
